I painted RAW out of my experience living in a refugee camp in Ghana for 6 years. I painted it to create an awareness of the tragedy of war. Some view war as this glorious thing without having experienced it. War is as raw as it gets. It leaves families homeless, causes post traumatic stress disorder, loss of lives and much more. War is far from glorious, it’s RAW.
