There has never been a time when I haven’t been interested in all things that sparkle. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me to find out I was raised by magpies. It was very good fortune that 30 years ago Karen Cantine allowed me into her studio to hone my skills as a silversmith after an initial stint at what was then known as the Southside Cultural Centre. Karen is a world-renowned silversmith living in Edmonton and to have her, as a mentor, is an amazing gift. During these past number of years I have developed my skills and sense of design to create pieces that reflect my own vision. Sterling Silver is an amazing medium that can be shaped and formed to create unique pieces. The addition of precious and semiprecious stones only adds to the aesthetic bringing a special uniqueness to each piece. Many of these gemstones have been acquired from sellers around the world so that many of the things I create are one of a kind.
