Medium: Solid Wood & Wood Veneers

Ralph Reichenbach is a self-taught artist, furniture maker, and designer with a lifelong passion for woodworking nurtured in his father’s workshop. A top graduate and former instructor of NAIT’s cabinet-making program, his work skillfully blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design to create functional, finely crafted pieces inspired by the natural world.

Ralph’s pieces are distinguished by their flawless workmanship, thoughtful functionality, and an intuitive understanding of materials shaped by years of hands-on experience.

Ralph’s work has attracted collectors worldwide and has been exhibited at prominent venues, including the Alberta Craft Council Gallery and the former TU Gallery. He is an experienced educator, having led numerous marquetry workshops—including sessions during Edmonton Design Week in 2023—and furniture design courses at NAIT. Over the years, Ralph has mentored many apprentices through his custom veneer door and panel manufacturing business, cultivating new talent in the craft.
