Phil Vaillancourt is a Mi K’maq native from Maniwaki, Gracefield Quebec on Kitigan Zibi Territory.

Living on the Westcoast on Vancouver Island since 2010, he has been trained in formline design and history, under Haida, Tsimshian and Tlingit mentors.  His background as a Reiki teacher contributes to his work which is intentional and often guided by his ancestors.

Whether carving a ceremonial mask to be danced, or creating a tattoo  or print design, his Vision to create strong work represents his integrity to honour the art form and keep its roots intact.
