Jim Macgregor is an abstract artist who creates with a colour palette that is intricate, yet quiet and calm, reflective of his introspective, gentle, and curious personality. He follows the minimalist and post-minimalist movements with a reductive style.

Technically precise, yet leaving space for the materials to speak, the texture and surfaces of his work are often activated and subtly transformed with light, a visual vocabulary reflective of his life experiences.

A menagerie of mini careers in film, theatre, formal art training, and 39 years of painting have given him a wide range of experience with manipulating materials on the canvas—an authentic communicator of his calling and devotion.
